If the chained dog you are concerned about is located in the City of Asheville, it is prohibited unless someone is with the dog. Please call Animal Control at 252 - 1110. Their hours are 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM on Mon. - Fri. and 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM on Sat - Sun. We are totally focused on Buncombe County and no longer not build fences for chained dogs in the City of Asheville.

If you know of a dog in Buncombe County that is in immediate trouble (no water, no shelter, or appears abused) contact County Animal Control at 250 - 6670.

If you know of a dog in Buncombe County that could be a candidate for a free fence from Unchain Buncombe, please either call us at 828 - 450 - 7736 between the hours of 9:00 AM to 6:00PM every day, or email us with the complete information below.
